Antidote 11 Now Available for Network Installation
Druide informatique announces the release of Antidote 11 v2 for network installation. Launched last October, the eleventh edition of Antidote introduced more than 100 new features for English and French. In addition to the functions specific to network operation, the free v2 update brings several new linguistic and functional features.
Antidote 11 v2 offers improved correction, especially for lexical errors. In English, nearly 4300 new words, including doomscrolling, extractivism and cheugy, have been added along with their etymology, pronunciation and synonyms. All dictionaries have been updated. In particular, Antidote now recognizes the Kyiv spelling of the Ukrainian capital, consistent with the Ukrainian pronunciation. In French, 1500 new words have been added, including exolune, faufilade and illiquide. 11,000 new translations are now available to users of both languages.
Antidote 11 v2 can be deployed from a server either locally or in shared mode (run from source). It can also be deployed through Remote Desktop Services (RDS), using the Group Policy (GPO) defined by the organization if necessary. It introduces several new network installation settings, including restricting access to pronunciation and activation by a Druide account.
The multi-user version comes in three products: Antidote 11 – French, Antidote 11 – English, and Antidote 11 – Bilingual. Subscribers to the Antidote Maintenance Program (AMP) will find their free upgrade in their Client Portal. Multi-user licenses can be obtained according to a sliding price scale available for five or more workstations.
For all users, the cloud edition, Antidote Web, inherits most of the new features of v2, and Antidote Mobile for iOS benefits from the improvements to the dictionaries and guides. In particular, for the first time, the mobile version features a powerful search by combinable criteria. Antidote 11 for Windows or Mac will automatically prompt you to download the update, and the App Store will do the same thing for Antidote Mobile. Antidote Web is already up to date. Owners of an earlier edition can upgrade it at www.antidote.info.
