Antidote 12 Channels the Power of Generative AI
Druide informatique announces the release of Antidote 12, a major new edition of its writing assistance software. Antidote 12 puts the power of generative artificial intelligence (AI) squarely in users’ hands with new features that can reformulate their writing four different ways. The corrector takes a giant leap forward with new neural correction engines, and the brand new Live Correction feature analyzes users’ writing in real time directly in their web browser. The dictionaries and guides have expanded to include more information on expressions and on the differences between English and French.
Four Controlled Approaches to Reformulating Your Writing
A subscription to Antidote+ gives Antidote 12 users the ability to reframe their writing through four different views: Rewrite, Retouch, Soften and Shorten. Each one duly prompts Druide’s large language model (LLM)—trained by the company and hosted on its servers. They then filter and correct the responses, and rank the different options for reformulation. As a result, users can harness the power of generative AI and control it with ease to get smart suggestions for rewording their work that remain true to their ideas.
Supercharged Contextual Correction
New neural correction engines empower the corrector to catch twice as many errors as before. New smart filters let users spot repeat sentences or introductory expressions throughout a text. Live Correction analyzes users’ writing directly in their web browser; errors are underlined in real time and can be corrected in a click. With Live Correction, users don’t need to leave the browser to get suggestions for reformulating their writing. What’s more, when Antidote’s Anti-Oops! technology checks users’ emails before sending, it now also checks for indications of abrasive tone. It can help prevent faux pas by flagging passages written in the heat of the moment and by suggesting ways to reformulate them. Finally, Multi-Document Correction makes it easy to review a set of TXT, HTML, Markdown and LaTeX documents together. Users can now effortlessly proofread regularly updated texts, like the pages of a website or complex documentation, and correct multiple errors across a whole batch of files.
Even More Comprehensive Dictionaries and Guides
Druide’s linguists have updated all the dictionaries and added over 4700 new words and expressions, like deprioritize, biocentrism and Czech hedgehog. They’ve also gone all in on expressions to give them their very own entries, complete with synonyms, combinations, semantic fields and quotations. New etymological notes explore the histories of more than 100 enigmatic expressions, like run amok, holy moly and stave off. The guides feature a wealth of new articles, including a whole new guide exploring the differences between English and French for those who use both languages. The French dictionaries now cover 3200 additional words and expressions, such as déconjugaliser, _chimichurri _and voisin gonflable. The linguists have elaborated on expressions there, as well, and have added numerous articles to the French language guides, including the French-English counterpart of the new bilingual guide.
Highly Anticipated Integrations
Antidote 12 enjoys improved integration with web apps like Google Docs, Outlook and Gmail. Anti-Oops! is even available when using these web-based email clients. Moreover, Anti-Oops! now works with Antidote Web.
Updates for the Entire Antidote Product Line
Antidote Web includes most of these new features, and Antidote Mobile boasts the same expanded dictionaries and guides. Antidote+ subscribers can access the new edition on all their devices for free: they’ll be invited to download Antidote 12 for Windows and Mac in the Client Portal; updates have already been rolled out in Antidote Web; and Antidote Mobile will be updated by the App Store.
