Druide Partners with the Jasmin Roy Sophie Desmarais Foundation for the Release of the Book La porte de garage

Montreal, March 24, 2021 - We are pleased to announce our partnership with the Jasmin Roy Sophie Desmarais Foundation for the release of the book La porte de garage. A donation will be made to the Marie-Pierre and Phillip Danault Fund for each copy purchased. Launched in 2019 by player number 24 of the Montreal Canadiens and his wife, this initiative funds school and extracurricular programs to create healthy, safe and caring environments for all students taking part in sports and athletic activities. The couple hopes this will contribute to the development of emotional and interpersonal skills in sport.

The picture book by Alain M. Bergeron (text) and Amélie Dubois (illustrations) is inspired by the true story of Phillip Danault. The author, a resident of Victoriaville like the Danault family, wanted to recount the anecdote featured in a viral video: Phillip had promised his parents a new garage door to replace the one from his childhood, riddled with black puck marks from his many training sessions.
