The OQLF appoints Julie Rinfret to its Comité d’officialisation linguistique
On April 10, Druide informatique’s Head of French Lexicography, Julie Rinfret, was appointed by the Office québécois de la langue française (OQLF) to a four-year term on its Comité d’officialisation linguistique. The five-member body establishes standards and makes recommendations for writing used by Quebec’s public service and in its communications with residents.
“The fact that I’ve been invited to sit on this committee speaks to the strength of Druide’s partnership with the OQLF,” says the new appointee. “It’s an honour to help ensure a high standard for the language used in Quebec’s public institutions.”
Rinfret has a PhD in linguistics and specializes in lexical semantics. She has been teaching at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) for over 20 years and has led lexicographic content development for Druide’s Antidote software since May 2022.
