Free Updates for the Entire Antidote Product Line
Druide informatique announces the release of free updates for the entire range of its renowned writing assistance software. These updates enhance both the English and French correctors, add hundreds of new words to the dictionaries and deliver platform-specific improvements.
Antidote 11 v6 offers better correction, thanks to more finely tuned English and French analyzers, and introduces a new setting for spacing before units of measurement. Extensive work has gone into the dictionaries: 600 new words and expressions have been added in English, including foveated, leafcycling, pump track and routesetting, as well as thousands of pronunciations and synonyms. In anticipation of the Paris Games this summer, special attention was given to Olympic sports terminology. The French edition also features 600 new words and expressions, including véloparc, gratton, diafiltrer and fruganisme. Furthermore, the update provides users of the bilingual edition with over 3250 new translations. Finally, the 50 or so sites added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 2022 and 2023 were catalogued.
Antidote Web includes all these improvements, plus new functionality. The Reformulation feature launched in December boasts a new generative model to boost its performance. Users can now explore the grammatical structure of a phrase in depth from a panel dedicated to detailed sentence analysis. New settings allow all language resources to be rendered temporarily inaccessible for school exams.
Antidote Mobile features the same expanded dictionaries and includes interface improvements, such as display adjustments to better accommodate screen rotation.
Antidote 11 for Windows and Mac will automatically prompt users to download the update and the App Store will do the same for Antidote Mobile. Antidote Web has already been updated. Users who own an earlier edition of the software can upgrade to Antidote 11 by visiting www.antidote.info.
