Antidote Launches Generative AI for Sentence Reformulation

Today Druide informatique launches its very own generative artificial intelligence (AI) engine for sentence reformulation—a first for Antidote. Leveraging the latest advancements in large language model (LLM) technology, this new feature provides users with suggestions for rewording full sentences and even whole paragraphs.

Antidote Web now includes a new Reformulation mode users can activate via a button or contextual icon. When operating in this mode, the application will generate up to three different suggestions for rephrasing a sentence or paragraph; the user can then choose the one they prefer and insert it directly into their text. Since Antidote integrates with a wide variety of Windows, Mac and web applications, it applies the changes seamlessly; no need to copy-paste.

Reformulation reworks the original sentence by changing its vocabulary or syntax. It’s particularly useful for giving a more natural feel to text written in one’s second language (e.g., French written by an English speaker). It can also help resolve the potential structural issues Antidote flags as discontinuities. A bilingual subscription allows users to reformulate their writing in both English and French, in keeping with the source text’s language.
