Druide Supports the Quebec Entrepreneurship Contest
Druide informatique is pleased to announce its support of the Quebec Entrepreneurship Contest for the Montréal region. Druide will be presenting awards to winners in all categories and will be creating a special grant for the best “Business Creation” project.
The Contest recognizes two types of initiative: The Student Entrepreneurship component encourages projects that contribute to the development of entrepreneurial skills in educational institutions, from elementary school to university, while the Business Creation component supports entrepreneurs in the early stages of business development.
The 14th Quebec Entrepreneurship Contest for the Montréal region kicked off on February 15 with André d’Orsonnens, Chairman and CEO of Druide informatique, as Honorary Chair. Today, Druide increases its support for the Contest by pledging to offer, for at least three years, several dozen copies of its Antidote software and the reference work Petit Druide des synonymes et des antonymes. Furthermore, a $3,000 grant will be awarded to the winning entrepreneur in the Business Creation category.
“We are delighted to have Mr. d’Orsonnens as Honorary Chair of this 14th edition of the Montréal event. He’s such an inspiring entrepreneur, who conveys his passion with astonishing ease, and speaks to the worlds of education and business alike,” says Michel Fortin, Executive Director of SAJE accompagnateur d’entrepreneurs, the organization that coordinates the Montréal portion of the Contest. “And Druide’s commitment for the next three years is a clear testament to the importance the company attaches to nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs.”
Druide informatique, Quebec-based developer of the popular Antidote software, also operates a thriving distribution business on the Canadian market. In addition to software, its distributes books from its subsidiary Éditions Druide, which publishes French-language literature, fiction and non-fiction, children’s literature and reference works.
