Le temps du paysage Exhibit Travels to the Lower St. Lawrence
From June 9 to September 30, come discover Hélène Dorion’s Le temps du paysage exhibit showcased in three magnificent cultural spaces in La Mitis: the Château Landry in Mont-Joli, the Vieux Presbytère in Sainte-Flavie and the Estevan Lodge at the Reford Gardens in Grand-Métis. Presented by the Carrefour de la littérature, des arts et de la culture (CLAC) in collaboration with the Olivar-Asselin library, the Reford Gardens and the Salon du livre de Rimouski, the vernissage will be held on June 9 at 5 p.m. at the Château Landry’s Maison de la culture, located at 1588 Jacques-Cartier Boulevard in Mont-Joli.
Hélène Dorion’s Le temps du paysage exhibit, based on her eponymous book, adds photography to her creative arsenal, creating a real dialogue between the text and the images taken during a trip to Italy. The act of photographing becomes—like writing—a way to capture the light and darkness that suffuse the world and unveil the beauty therein.
