L’interrogatoire de Salim Belfakir Among Finalists for the Prix littéraire France-Québec
Last Thursday, the Paris Book Fair unveiled its list of finalists for the 2017 Prix littéraire France-Québec. Alain Beaulieu’s L’interrogatoire de Salim Belfakir was chosen as one of the three contenders. The three novels competing for the 2017 prize were selected by a jury from a shortlist of seven works. They will be read within the next six months throughout every French-speaking region, right up until the vote in October.
Organized by the Fédération France-Québec, each year the Prix littéraire France-Québec crowns the best Quebec novel. In 2016, over 660 readers—spread across 41 associations within the France-Québec network—participated in choosing the winner.
